As part of Hampshire County Council’s annual Planned Maintenance programme, drainage works will be carried out in A343 Salisbury Road, Abbotts Ann, from Old Salisbury Road to 200m south outside property Netherdale.

The works are scheduled to begin on Monday 5th January 2026 and are expected to take 6 weeks, with road closures to through traffic between 09:30 – 16:00. The road will remain open outside these hours under 2-way temporary traffic lights. Further details are available at One.Network - https://one.network/?GB144125314.

While the schedule allows for potential delays, adverse weather or unforeseen circumstances may still lead to short-notice changes. We will make every effort to provide timely updates, although communicating these to the public at short notice can be challenging.

Advance warning signs will be installed before the start of works, and local residents and businesses will receive the attached letter. Test Valley Borough Council and Abbotts Ann Parish Council have also been copied into this email for their information.

If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,

Richard
